This Broadway hit tells the story of Alexander Hamilton with a score comprised of hip hop, R&B and pop original music. Miranda purposfuly chose to use a multi-cultural cast to bring his play to life! This release is not a film version but uses scenes of the play filmed during its first year run with its outstanding original cast. We are super excited to watch for family movie night for education and entertainment combined! No movie night would be complete without snacks, right? Here the J6Krewe's Menu featuring a slider buffet!
"HAM"ilton and Cheese Sliders
Ham and cheese sliders are delicious with just a few ingredients. All you need is Hawaiian slider buns, ham, you favorite cheese, butter and seasoning. This recipe from the The Chunky Chef is a YUMMY one!
Aaron "Burr"gers
Remember that classic commercial Got Milk about Aaron Burr?
Aah, nostalgia. Anyway, Aaron Burr, US Vice president and Hamilton's political rival is one of the main characters of Hamilton the Musical. Add to your slider buffet with some cheesy burger goodness. Chef Jamika ingeniously uses muffin tins to create the perfect sized burger patties. Get the recipe here.

We have recently got into using ground turkey as replacement for beef in our burgers, meatballs, etc. Its a healthier alternative and as my husband says, "It just tastes cleaner." (LOL 😂, Love you babe! 💓). This recipe from Unilever Foods is bursting with flavor and has a classic pub-style appearance.
NY Pizza Sliders
New York is home to arguably the best pizza around! It is also the setting of Hamilton. In keeping with our slider theme, this pizza sliders recipe from Pip and Ebby is pure cheesy goodness. (Photo credit: Pip and Ebby)
Three Sisters Salad
♭Angelica! Eliza!.....and Peggy! ♭
The Schuyler Sisters play a huge roll in Hamilton. With stellar performance, Phillipa Soo, Renee Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones bring these characters to life in ways that will have your cheering, singing and weeping. The "Three Sisters" (corn, beans and squash) are hallmarks of Native American planting because of the way each crop complements the other. This Three Sisters Salad from Food.com is delicious and each ingredients blends just as beautifully as the Schuyler sisters do!
And...Peggy's In A Blanket
This upscale version of Pigs in Blanket by Martha Stewart really bring add some flair to this classic recipe.(Photo credit: Martha Stewart
Founder's Fizz Cocktail
Hamilton has a few official signature drinks served at performances including the Founder's Fizz and the Hamiltini! The Founder's Fizz is a particular favorite of creator Lin Manuel Miranda and the recipe can be found here courtesy of Broadway Direct or here courtesy of People Magazine.

Hamilton Punch
Did Hamilton really punch the bursar of Princeton College? Or did it all happen in Lin Manuel Miranda's imagination? Either way, it makes for a great story and a great name for a Hamilton themed drink. Add these kid friendly drinks to your family movie night.
What I really love about this drink from Sparkles to Sprinkles is there is no added sugar, its only infused water. But, kids will go crazy for the colors and fruit, especially star shaped apples. See recipe here.

But if you want you Hamilton Punch to be....well, punch...try this layered drink from In Katrina's Kitchen.
